Hello Everyone,
Please be patient with me as I am trying to start my first blogging experience.
I am a retired RN of 39 years of nursing practice.  My patients whom I assisted over the years ranged in age from newborns to 100 years old.  Each gave one touched my heart as I assisted them or their caregivers in their time of need.
This was only one dream that come true.
I can assure you that was only one dream...another dream was to be married to my husband, Don R. Davison, for over 40 years now.   Yet another dream was to be able to design and sew my own wedding dress on our wedding day. That wonderful dream came true July 18, 1971 when Don and I made a life time committment to be together.

Along the way we have had four wonderful children, Eric, Ian, Sven and Gretchen. We have been also blessed by our Lord with eight grandchildren with three step-grandchildren. Grandkids can keep us alive...at times wishing we had that much energy left after hours of play.
Both Don and I had grown up on farms so we just had to go back to live on the farm.    After we were married we lived in a metro area for about four years. Opportunity presented itself in 1976 for us to start buying a 127 acre farm near Maquoketa, Iowa. We have been there ever since...it is HOME!   What a wonderful playground the Lord gave us!!!
Now I have been able to expand my sewing experience with doing embroidery with Bernina 730 and quilting with a long arm sewing machine which handles a king size quilt top to be sandwiched together.   I purchased my Gammil long arm machine in 2006.   It was my hubby's idea to put this monster machine in our dining room until we got a special room for it in our house.   The machine will be moving this year!!!     Yes, I have been busy quilting.   If you would ask my hubby about it, he would said, "I don't see her much.   I only see her on her breaks."         Lucky me!!!

My first quilt I really wanted to make with my long arm was Gretchen and Andrew Robinson's Signature Quilt being finished for their first wedding anniversary.   Their guests, family and friends were given opportunity to put their signatures in a square or some included their best wishes.    Then I was able to make squares of fabric with their wedding picture, wedding program and another with words to Andrew's song that he wrote and sang to Gretchen...placed in center of wall hanging which took on somewhat of a shape of a cross...
Here is their wall hanging quilt picture just for you!

Here is another Memory Quilt I designed and quilted from start to finish for a lady in Clinton, Iowa area.   Embroidered names on it, family photos incorporated and squares with the letters that spelled FAMILY on the right side of quilt...
.

More pictures to come....  You will see a variety of ideas including photos in a quilt and some embroidery....

Do remember I can quilt a Memory Quilt for you or your family!!   Each moment in life is a moment remember and learn from as we enjoy our challenges of the time...      You can call me at 563 321 811 or email me at davisonsharon46@yahoo.com for more information of how I can help you with your quilting project....
